Mr. John David McChargue, age 48, of 130 Lonnie Lane, Americus, died April 12, 2010 at his residence. A native of Sumter County, Mr. McChargue was born the son of the late Howard Sanford and Mary Evelyn McMillon McChargue. He was a good father and devoted Christian and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 15, 2010, at 3:00 PM, in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. Troy Fripp officiating. Interment will follow at Oglethorpe Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Survivors include two daughters, Kara McChargue of Prescott AZ. and Chasity McChargue of Ashfork, AZ.; a sister, Mary Helen Silva of Leesburg; one brother, Dennis McChargue of Gravesville, TN. and two granddaughters.
