John Gordon Frazier, 71, of Americus, died Friday, February 10, 2017 at his home. He was born November 28, 1945 in Leghorn, Italy, to the late Floyd Jefferson Frazier and Maria Vichi Frazier. He attended Bethel Baptist and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a retired farmer who enjoyed the outdoors, raising cattle, hunting, and fishing. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Americus. Rev. Steve Golden and Rev. Robert Orr will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at the family residence: 1917 Ga Hwy 195 N, Americus, Ga 31709. Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Connie Frazier of Americus; two daughters and one son-in-law: Trina Frazier Guest of Americus and Robin and Zac Faulkner of Griffin; a son, John Brian Frazier of Americus; and three grandchildren: Holly Gayle Guest, Zacharye John Faulkner, and Hannah Faye Faulkner. Also surviving are a sister, Amanda Law; brother, Gene Frazier; and several nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers include: Claude Frazier, Chuck Strange, David Wingard, Walt Wingard, Gary Reeves, and Les Smith. Memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P.O. Box 1434, Americus, GA 31709.
