John William "Billy" Cooper, age 72, of Plains, died at his residence Saturday, February 4, 2017. A native of Plains, he was born July 22, 1944 to the late John Robert and Sara Gee Cooper. Mr. Cooper was retired from Redman Homes where he was the Production Manager. He was a member of Plains Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking, remodeling and bream fishing. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 6, 2017, at 3:00 PM at Plains Baptist Church with Bro. Hugh Harbort officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon, GA 31201. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Charlotte Cooper of Plains; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Rick Concotelli of Tampa, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, John R. and Angel S. Cooper of Ellaville; a sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Jerry Gentry of Plains; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Wayne Cooper of Athens, TX and John and Cathy Montgomery of Americus; four grandchildren, Chanler Cooper, Riley Cooper, Cooper Concotelli and Isabella Concotelli; nieces, Wendy and Daryl Jones of Preston and Theresa and Gary Hughes of White House TX and several other nieces, nephews and other family.
