Obituary

Mrs. Jimmie Gaddy, age 60, of Andersonville, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020. Mrs. Gaddy was born December 16, 1959 in Valdosta, Georgia, the daughter of Jerry Roberts and the late Louis Roberts. Mrs. Gaddy loved her family. She was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She was a people person and never met a stranger. She enjoyed the outdoors. She loved being at the beach. She also loved horses, dogs, and all other animals. She retired from Sumter County School system as a school bus driver. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Andersonville United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Wooden officiating. Interment will follow at Andersonville City Cemetery. The family has requested the visitation to be private. Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, James Gaddy of Andersonville; one son, Chris Gaddy of Americus; one daughter, Amanda Wooden and husband David of Andersonville; father, Jerry Roberts of Andersonville; two brothers, Josh Roberts of Atlanta and Joe Roberts of Americus. Also surviving are her beloved nine grandchildren. The family request memorial contributions to be made to Sumter Humane Society 108 Old Industrial Blvd. Americus, GA. 31719 and American Cancer Society 804 Cherry St. Suite A Macon, GA. 31201.
