Jerry Stewart Wells, age 67, died at his residence Monday, February 1, 2016. Mr. Wells was born in Lapeer, Michigan on January 15, 1949, the son of the late Grant S. and Belva Fick Wells. He was employed by Oxford Construction Company and attended Lakeview Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. The family will receive visitors at the chapel following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to a charity of choice. Mr. Wells is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Clent Hand of Ty TY; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Deidre Wells of Hawkinsville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Tim Harbuck of Athens, Patsy Lloyd of Pensacola, FL and Julie and Johnny Murrah of Richland and a brother, Chuck Wells and Vickie of Douglas. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
