James "Ricky "Richard Sanders, age 62, of 916 Angus Dr. Americus, died at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA., Tuesday, June 30, 2015. A native of Americus, he was born September 2, 1952, the son of Guy Arthur Sanders and Mary Frances Sanders Smallwood. Graveside Services will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery at 10:00AM Saturday July 4, 2015, with Bro. Bud Womack officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Gentiva Hospice 100 Brookstone Centre Pkwy Columbus, Ga. 31904. Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law; James and Alicia Sanders, Jr. of Cordele, and William Charles Sanders of Cordele; two sisters and their spouses, Sandy Smallwood and Billy Nutt of Rebecca and Renee and Pamela Young of Ft. Walton, FL; one grandchild Damian Aiden Sanders; two aunts; Caroline Sanders of Americus and Derka Sanders Clegg of Albany; one uncle, Richard Sanders of Plains; two nephews, Michael Brian Solley of Warner Robins and Joshua Chad Fullman of Ft Polk, La.; and many cousins.
