James Osgood "Jimmy" Rees, age 70, of 1700 Willard Rees Rd. Preston, died August 23, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus. A native of Preston, GA he was born October 2, 1940 the son of Willard and Jessie Walker Rees. Mr. Rees was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Preston Baptist Church, the Kinchafoonee Wildlife Club, and the Lanahasee Hunting Club. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM, Graveside at Preston Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel, 142 Southland Road Americus, and at other times at the family residence.
