James Albert Bell James Albert Bell, age 78, of 320 Parkers Crossing, died at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center Friday, November 30, 2012. A native of Americus, he was born August 19, 1934, the son of the late James Elder Bell and Annie Mae Willis Bell Brownlee. Mr. Bell was a trouble-man for Georgia Power for 37 years and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Andy Taunton officiating. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1256 Highway 280 E., Americus, GA 31709. Pall Bearers include the Deacons of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday, December 3, 2012, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times the home of Debbie and Jimmy Horne, 323 Parkers Crossing. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jimmy Horne of Americus, a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Robin Bell of Americus, a sister Dorothy Bell Sharp of Thomaston, GA; two grandchildren, Jimbo Horne and Mitch Bell, both of Americus and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Ann Daniel Bell, a son, Jimbo Bell, and a sister, Betty Bell Thompson.
