Dr. Jabez "Buddy" Orion Marshall, age 71, of Americus, died at his residence Saturday, April 11, 2015. A native of Evans, he was born December 13, 1943, the son of the late Joseph Hartwell and Katherine Marshall. Dr. Marshall was employed by Southwest Georgia Healthcare where he was a practicing obstetrics and gynecology physician. He was a beloved physician who was loved by his patients and he loved his job and his family. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Central Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sumter Humane Society, 108 Industrial Blvd., Americus, Ga. 31719. Survivors include his wife, Joan Marshall of Americus; a daughter, Laura Stubblefield of Franklin, TN.; three brothers, Daniel Marshall of Evans, Joseph Marshall of Leesburg and Rupert Reese Marshall of Evans; and also three grandchildren, Sydney, Abby and Ginny Stubblefield of Franklin, TN.
