HC Harvey, Jr., age 82, of Plains, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel in Americus. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Following the service, Mr. Harvey will be laid to rest at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born on December 23, 1942, in Lake City, Florida, HC was the son of the late Horace Clayton Harvey, Sr. and Mildred Greene Harvey. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, HC later built a successful career as a respected water-wells contractor.

He was a faithful member of Hebron Baptist Church and a man of many talents. HC enjoyed fishing, raising his beloved llamas and goats, and spending time outdoors. Throughout his life, he was admired as a dedicated crop duster, a magician, and a preacher — sharing his many gifts with those around him.

He is survived by his son, Clay Harvey of Leslie, Georgia, and his sister, Elizabeth Anne Savage of Augusta, Georgia.

HC's legacy of hard work, kindness, and a zest for life will continue to inspire all who knew him.
