Grace Marie Montgomery, age 91, of 6930 S. Washington St., Preston, died at her residence Tuesday, November 22, 2016. She was born August 5, 1925 in Americus to the late William Madison Harper, Jr. and Grace Banner Harper. A member of Preston Baptist Church, she devoted her life to God, her family and her community. She was a prayer warrior, always quietly helped the underprivileged, and enjoyed serving others and God. Respected by everyone, she influenced many through her Christianity and strong will. "It is not me, it's the Lord working through me." Graveside services will be held Friday, November 25, 2016, at 3:00 PM at Preston City Cemetery with Jason Tarrer officiating. Survivors include her two daughters: Anna Marie Ladson of Preston, and Chlo and Steve Kennedy of Preston; three grandchildren: Kyna and Jason Tarrer, Mitchell and Jen Ladson, and Laurie Ladson; and four great-grandchildren: Kennedy Tarrer, Luke Tarrer, Ellie Ladson, and Sam Ladson.
