Frankie Lou Morris Howell, 96, of Americus, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Magnolia Manor. A native of Lyons, she was born July 9, 1922 to the late John M. Morris and Clara Lee White Morris and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Americus. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 28, 2018 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel in Americus. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2018 at Memorial Gardens in Grenada, MS. Survivors include a daughter and a son-in-law: Sheryl Briscoe and her husband George of Lipan, TX; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Corbett and Liz Howell of Americus, and James Howell of Alexandria, LA; a sister, Juanita Pike of Americus; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Corbett Howell, Sr.; daughter, Clara Alverson; son, Morris Howell; and a sister, Leda Mae Bloodworth.
