Frances Charlene Mims Moncus, age 48, of 164 Grover Dr., Americus, died January 19, 2011 at her residence. A native of Americus, she was born June 28, 1962 the daughter of Jesse Walter Mims and the late Bernice White Mims. Mrs. Moncus was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jay Harris officiating and a private burial. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Survivors include her father, Jesse Mims of Americus; three daughters Christy Hayes of Americus, Michelle Moncus and Lynn Moncus of Alta, IA; five brothers, Billy Mims of Gillman, IL., George Mims of Americus, Neal Mims of Athens, TN., Jim Mims of Florida and Terry Murr of Alabama; six grandchildren, Gage Hayes, Brianna Moncus, Hanna Harder, Alexis Meyer, Thomas Meyer and Ardis Moncus.
