Frances Elizabeth Bowen Beauchamp, age 88, of 274-B Albany Annex Rd., Americus, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Wilson Hospice House in Albany. A native of Nashville, Ga., she was born November 23, 1922, the daughter of the late William Hudson and Annie Lalah Hardison Bowen. Mrs. Beauchamp was an active member of First Baptist Church of Americus where she served as church hostess for several years. She was a member of the Ladies Bible Class, Senior Adults and Training Union Director. She also was a member of Eastern Star. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Parks and Rick Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Bowen Cemetery in Smithville. The family will receive friends Friday, September 2, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times the family residence. Pall bearers include Trey Dunbar, Robby Head, George Beauchamp, Bobby Head, Michael Thornton and Michael Royals. Honorary Pall bearers include all law enforcement and members of her Sunday School Class. Memorial contributions may be made to Albany Community Hospice or Wilson Hospice House, 320 Foundation Lane, Albany, Ga. 31707 or to First Baptist Church 221 S Lee St., Americus, Ga. 31709. Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Bonny Dunbar of Americus, Beth and Bobby Head of Smithville and Babs Beauchamp of Albany; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert William "Bob" and Libby Beauchamp of Americus; a sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Wade Hiltabidel of Bloomfield, CT.; nine grandchildren, Trey (Jennifer) Dunbar, Robby (Amy) Head, Melissa (Michael) Royals, Kristy (Mike) Thornton, George Beauchamp, Cole Scoggins, Heather Hearon, Whitley Beauchamp and Jessica Hearon; twelve great grandchildren, Connor, Calum and Kieran Dunbar, Ryan, Ragan and Ginny Head, Justin, Alex and Abby Royals, Kayla and Lauren Thornton and Cayden Nelms; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Beauchamp, five sisters and three brothers. Cemetery: Bowen Cemetery, Smithville
