Evelyn Temples Belcher 11/8/28–1/23/23

Evelyn T. Belcher, age 94, a long-time resident of Americus, GA died peacefully at the home of her daughter Monday.

She was a volunteer at Phoebe Sumter as a pink lady, enjoyed playing bridge, loved traveling, her church and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Frank A. Belcher, Sr. and her siblings Marion Jarrett, Betty Baggett and Nicky Still.

Evelyn is survived by her 3 children: Frank A. Belcher, Jr. (Pam) of Andersonville, GA; Alex T. Belcher (Marie) of Cleveland, GA and Mitzi B. Preston (Freddy) of Moreland, GA.

Five grandchildren: Heather B. Teteak (Josh), Frank A. Belcher III (Tracy), Jonathan L. Belcher, Chase Preston (Kayla) and Morgan P. Musgrave (Josh).

Ten great-grandchildren: Alex, Ansley, Ashlyn, Frank IV, Hannah, Tess, Hollis, Cameron, Daniel and MacKenzie.

A sister-in-law: Lindsey Still.

The service will be held at First Baptist Church of Americus, Wednesday January 25th. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. with the service following at 11:00 a.m.
