Eunice K. Owen, age 85, of 273 Tallent Store Rd., died May 29, 2013, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A native of Ashburn, she was born April 28, 1928, the daughter of the late John and Ola Mae Durham Kelley. Mrs. Owen was retired from The Tog Shop where she was employed as Shipping Supervisor. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. Hugh Harbort officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pall Bearers include Eric Owen, Ferrell Owen, Jr., Kelley Owen, John Owen, Clay Owen and Patrick Owen. The family will receive friends Friday, May 31, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times the residence of Ralph and Sheryl Norton, 709 Adderton St., Americus. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The League of the Good Samaritan, Magnolia Manor , 2001 S. Lee St., Americus, GA 31709 or to Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P. O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga. 31709. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Ralph Norton of Americus; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Marta Owen of Hunnington Beach, Cal., Steve and Michele Owen of Bethlehem and Ferrell and Gail Owen of Ellaville; a sister-in-law, Martha Kate Deriso of Atlanta; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband James Calvin Owen, January 8, 2012.
