Ernest Eugene Olive, Jr., age 78, of Smithville, died at his residence on Monday, October 18, 2021. A native of Lacoochee, FL., he was born April 1, 1943. He lived his life helping others. He was a Firefighter and a Paramedic before retiring. No services are planned at this time. Interment will be at Andersonville National Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Janet Olive; three sons, Christopher Olive, Paul Olive, and Kenneth Gjertsen; daughter, Renate Olive; brother, Mike Olive; and three sisters, Barbi Godwin, Lynette Powers, and Shirley Coffey.
