Mrs. Emogene Price Jennings, age 71, died Thursday January 22, 2009 at her residence. The body has been cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 24 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. A native of Colquitt County, Mrs. Jennings was born December 25, 1937, daughter of the late Floyd Price and Armie Ola Young Price. She was retired from Citizens Bank as a Head Teller. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Epworth Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Azalea Garden Club. Friends may call at the family residence, 112 Springdale Drive. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society, c/o Ann Harris, 1801 Rose Avenue, Americus, Ga. 31709. Survivors include her husband, Burr Wise Jennings of Americus; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Kristy Jennings of Philomath, Oregon and Bill and Leslie Jennings of Ellaville; a brother, Snooky Price and wife Peggy of Americus; seven grandchildren, Courtney Jennings, Zac Jennings, Montana Jennings, Trevor Jennings, Korb Jennings, Kaylyhn Jennings and Braden Jennings. A daughter, Tammy Jennings preceded her in death August 9, 1979 and a brother Bobby Price preceded her in death. Memorials: The American Cancer Society, c/o Ann Harris, 1801 Rose Avenue, Americus, Ga. 31709. Cemetery: Sunset Memorial Gardens Visitation: Friends may call at the family residence, 112 Springdale Drive.
