Mrs. Eloise Crook, age 81, of Americus, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Mrs. Crook was born September 18, 1938 in Cartersville, Georgia, to the late Thurman and Maude Wells. She was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Crook was a homemaker who loved her family. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Walker officiating. Visitation will follow the memorial service. Survivors include one son, Ricky and wife Dolores Crook of Smithville; two sisters, JoAnn Collins of Leesburg and Betty Tucker of Baconton, GA.; and two grandchildren, Ashleigh Crook, Austin and Hannah Crook. Mrs. Crook was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Crook; five brothers, James Pruiett, Renon Pruiett, Eval Pruiett, Edward Wells, and Charles Wells; and two sisters, Christine Wells and Carol Byrd.
