Edward Eugene King, 69, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018. A native of Andersonville, he was born March 3, 1949 in Americus to the late Elbert King and Thelma Kitchens King. He was retired from Florida Power and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel in Americus with Rev. Chris Wooden officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Survivors include his son, Stephen King, of Henderson; two sisters: Marie Stuckey of Andersonville and Cindy Blake of Leesburg; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth King. Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
