December 6, 1941 – February 22, 2022
Edgar Harold Crow, age 80, passed away at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. He was born December 6, 1941 to the late Edgar Steve Crow and Winnie Jewell Roper. Mr. Crow worked with the Americus Fire Department for over 20 years, was a police officer with the city of Plains, and was an Army veteran. He loved his family, deer hunting, and his two dogs, Rose (deceased) and Little Man. Mr. Crow was the type of person that didn't know a stranger and would help anyone. He made the world a better place just by being in it. The family will be doing a private memorial. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Irene Crow; two daughters, Melissa Crow and Susan Irene Crow both of Americus; one brother, Michael Crow of Ellaville; one sister, Margene Roper of Elijay; seven grandchildren, Brittany Beamon (Adam), Tonya Toms (Roberto Perez), Brandon Wills (Arica), Jimmy Toms, Steve Toms, and Brian Grant; and six great-grandchildren, Bella Beamon, Ramiro Rodriquez, Ruben Jiminez, Katerina Wills, Bentley Toms, and Crystal Rodriquez. Mr. Edgar Crow was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Lynn Crow; and two brothers, Hulon Crow and Jimmy Steve Crow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made for First Responders and the Military.
