Eddie Rudolph Sutton, Sr., age 81, of 173 Arch Helms Rd., died at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center Sunday, May 20, 2012. A native of Albany, he was born July 27, 1930, the son of the late William Alexander and Zimmie Perry Sutton, Sr. Mr. Sutton was a retired salesman with Glover Food Service and was a member of First Baptist Church in Cuthbert. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 10:00 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany. The family will receive friends at the family residence, 173 Arch Helms Rd. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Ann Harris, 1801 Rose Avenue, Americus, Ga. 31709. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda S. Monroe of Americus, Debbie S. and Mike Pribble of Fayetteville, NC and Renee S. and Alex Hicks of Americus; a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie R. "Rudy" and Patty Sutton, Jr. of Bayou La Batre, AL; a sister Hilda Stephens of Sylvester; eight grandchildren, Michelle Young, Lisa Elmore, Ashleigh Monroe, Jennifer Hinson, Jonathan Pribble, Eddie Sutton, Nicole Olinghouse and Jacob Hicks and also seven great grandchildren.
