Earnest Roland Heath, Sr., 79, of Preston, died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at his home. A native of Buena Vista, he was born April 18, 1938 to the late Earnest Leroy Heath and Bonnie Kennedy Heath. He was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church. At retirement, he had over two million miles of safe driving with J&M Tank Lines. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Enterprise Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Burrell and Rev. Tim Cadenhead officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Lou Heath of Preston; two daughters and son-in-law: Donna Heath West and Diane and Ronald Brown, all of Preston; two sons: Ronald Heath and his fiancée, Cynthia Graves of Lake City, FL, and Chris Heath of Preston; a sister, Betty Johnston of Richland; and a brother, Johnny Heath of Americus. Also surviving are eight grandchildren: Amber and Joe Findley, Mandy and Phillip Jackson, Amy Blankenship, Kevin and Amanda Brown, Cody Brown, Courtney and Robert Price, Jessie Patterson, and Leela Heath; and ten great-grandchildren: Logan Findley, Gavin Findley, Xavier Findley, Hannah Findley, Ansley Jackson, Averey Blankenship, Rocco Brown, Scarlett Brown, Aubree Patterson, and Reed Patterson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Earnest "Ernie" Roland Heath, Jr.; a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Terrell Walker; sister-in-law, Jean Heath; brother-in-law, Walter Johnston; and a granddaughter, Lily Kris Heath.
