Drew Sanford Murphy, Jr., age 65, died September 1, 2021 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A native of Americus, he was born on October 23, 1955. Mr. Murphy was employed with Tape Specialist of Ga. His family was his world. He loved his grandchildren. Graveside services with honors will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 12:00 PM in Andersonville National Cemetery. Survivors include wife Robin Clark Murphy of Americus; stepson, Ben Williamson and his wife Crystal of Andersonville; two stepdaughters, Brooke Burke and her husband David of Marietta and Brittney Sarvis and her husband Alan of Atlanta; also surviving are six grandchildren, Ella Williamson, Rylee Williamson, Wyatt Williamson, Colbie Burke, Mila Burke, and Forest Sarvis. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to be made to The American Heart Association, PO Box 409410 Atlanta, GA. 30384.
