Dorothy Marie Kitchens, age 65, of US Highway 280 West , Americus died Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. A native of Cordele, Mrs. Kitchens was born May 26, 1948, the daughter of the late Edwin Jackson Waters and Dorothy Frances Garrett Waters. Mrs. Kitchens was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church. She loved to fish and to spend time with her family. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Matt Johnson and Rev. Steve Golden officiating. Burial will follow in Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry English, Ramsey English, Peyton English, Lamar Chavers, Bubba Toms, Corey Robinson and Peyton Robinson. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Survivors include; her husband, William Kitchens of Americus; two daughters and sons- in- law, Lisa and Tommy Young of Americus and Tracey and Matt Johnson of Ogelthorpe; two sisters and a brother- in- law, Jackie Waters of Americus and Joan and Pete Daniels of Americus; two brothers and a sister- in- law, Danny and Cheryl Waters of Mock, GA and Warren Waters of Americus. Five grandchildren also survive; Brooke Young, Thomas Young, Hannah Johnson, Logan Johnson, and Levi Johnson. Cemetery: Burial will be at Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery.
