AMERICUS, GA --- After a long battle with breast cancer, Mrs. Donna Everett Smith, age 63, of 114-A Country Club Drive, Americus, GA died Thursday morning, April 11, 2019 at home surrounded by family and friends. Donna was born February 20, 1956 in Americus, GA and was the daughter of Mary Helen & Edward C. "Eck" Everett. Donna was preceded in death by her parents. She was a loving mother & dedicated friend to many. She also worked at Chambliss, Sheppard, Roland & Associates for 15 years. She was a member of Plains Baptist Church and her favorite pastimes included spending time on the beach and decorating. Survivors include two daughters; Jenn Smith of Americus and Julie Smith of Plains; along with two sisters and a brother-in-law; Carol & Randy Gosa of Smithville, and Elaine Arnett of Leesburg as well as a number of nieces and nephews and her companion in life, David Smith of Morris, GA. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday April 13, 2019 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. A private funeral will be held at a later date. Honorary Pallbearers include Candy Barfield, Polly Conger, Arlene Johnson, Betty Ann Slunt and Kathy Smith.
