Dawn Elaine Myers, age 84, of 180 Ga Hwy 27 E., died at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center Thursday, January 22, 2015. The daughter of the late Charles and Martha Schultz Kile, she was born December 18, 1930. Mrs. Myers was a retired salesperson and was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. She volunteered at the hospital and was a member of The Eastern Star. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 26, 2015, at 11:00 AM at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church with Rev. Sam Maves and Rev. Jeff Brannen officiating. Burial will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 24, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers include Mike Gurley, Skeeter Daniel, Jerry Dill, Brandon Albritton, Mike Davis and Phil Hart. Honorary pallbearers include Chuck McClean, Feng Liu, Butch Pugh, Logan Daniel, Davis Daniel and Parker Roth. The suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 236 Ga. Hwy 27 E., Americus, GA 31709 or to the charity of one's choice. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Ann Dodson of Bradenton, FL., and Gail and Wayne Crawley of Powell, TN.; two sons and daughter-in-law, Gordon Dodson of Cleveland, OH. and Kenny Myers of Americus; a brother, William Bissett of Bloomsburg, PA.; five grandchildren, Cory Dodson, Tina Maddox, Melanie Baker, Renzo Dodson and Kaylee Myers; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darold Myers in 2009. Cemetery: Andersonville National Cemetery
