Daniel "Danny" Anthony Blankenship, age 63, of 531 Holcombe Dacus Rd., Richland, died at his residence Saturday, May 26, 2012. A native of Preston, Mr. Blankenship was born august 8, 1948, the son of the late Lewis David Blankenship and Mattie Everett Blankenship who survives him. Mr. Blankenship was retired from Wilson Oil Company where he was employed as a mechanic. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, a wood carver and artist, great cook, avid hunter and fisherman and was a loving father and grandfather. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 2, at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macedonia Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Brian Litch of Howard; a son and daughter-in-law, Robin David Blankenship, Sr. and wife Susan of Newnan; two sisters, Judy Vinson of Cuthbert and Kathy Tynes of Tifton; and four grandchildren, Cole, David Jr., Taylor and Neal Blankenship.
