Corine Lumanda Price Hanks, age 76, of 2001 S. Lee Street, died Monday, August 17, 2009 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A native of Cleburne County, Alabama, Mrs. Hanks was born May 9, 1933, a daughter of the late John Franklin Price and Effie Messer Price. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bedford Hanks. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday August 20, 2009 in the chapel of Dryden Funeral Home in Heflin, Al. with Bro. Roy Weathers officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, August 19 at Dryden Funeral Home in Heflin, Al. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles Emory Garrett Hanks and Paula of Americus, John Randall Garrett Hanks of Manassas, Virginia; one sister, Janie Ruth Price Weathers and one brother David Harrold Price both of Heflin, Al. Two grandchildren, Laura Leigh Hanks of Americus, Ga and Lacey Marie Hanks of Manassas, Va. also survive.
