October 27, 1967 – December 16, 2024
Christopher Todd Mimbs of Canton, Georgia passed away on Monday, December 16th, 2024. Christopher joined the United States Army after graduating from Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Georgia. During his service in the Army, he called multiple bases home and spent time in Kentucky, Texas, and New Mexico. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, Christopher spent time in both Texas and California before returning home to attend Georgia Southern University. Christopher called Metro Atlanta home for most of his adult life. He was a skilled professional salesman, earning multiple sales recognition awards during his career. Christopher developed a love for fishing at a young age, most notably at a pond located on his uncle's farm in Americus, Georgia. Later, it was not unusual to find Christopher on the banks of Lake Lanier casting a line to reel in a big one. Although fishing was his favorite hobby, he was also a gun enthusiast that enjoyed target practice as well as the great outdoors.
A devoted Jehovah's Witness, Christopher was assured that his soul was saved. He enjoyed proselytizing and spreading the word of Jehovah so that others could receive the grace and love of Jehovah for themselves.
Christopher is survived by his son Andrew Mimbs and Andrew's mother Clara Mimbs, parents, Patricia L. Mimbs and Eddie Mimbs (Sandy) along with his siblings Jeffrey Mimbs (Nicole), Kenneth Mimbs, Russell Mimbs, Kristina Kishimoto (John), and Brittney Rish (Tyler). Christopher is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Christopher was preceded in death by an infant sister Patricia Y. Mimbs.
