Christine Crook Harvey, 74, of Americus, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. She was born April 18, 1942 in Byromville to the late L.E. Crook, Sr. and Georgia Childers Crook. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Americus, WMU, and the Phoebe Sunday School class. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Americus with Rev. Keith Parks officiating. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Danielle Harvey of Leslie; two grandchildren: Jake Brehm and Jordan Brehm; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Janie Crook of Americus; a brother-in-law, Jesse Middlebrooks; and three sisters-in-law: Janette Crook, Dot Crook, and Barbara Crook. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Marshall Crook, L.E. Crook, Jr., and Bobby Crook; and two sisters: Nettie Sullivan and Louise Middlebrooks. Memorial contributions may be made to: First Baptist Church of Americus, 221 S. Lee St. Americus, Ga 31709.
