Charlie Frank Davis, age 64, of 106 Pineview Dr., died at his residence Sunday, July 17, 2016. A native of Plains, he was born August 27, 1951, the son of the late Rufus Herman and Ruby Lee Tallent Davis, Sr. Mr. Davis was a member of Plains Baptist Church and retired from Manhattan Shirt Factory. A Family Celebration of Life ceremony will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016, at 1:00 PM at 106 Pineview Dr. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P. O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga. 31709. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Stephanie Davis of Americus and Kimberly and Jonathan Pope of Warner Robins; two brothers and a sister-in-law, R.H. and Bonnie Davis, Jr. of Birmingham, AL and John W. Davis of Panama City, FL.; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Nancy Kite of Americus, Eva Headrick of Clarksville, Frances and Gregg Carnes of DeSoto and Elaine Davis Hogsed of Leesburg; three grandchildren, Erick Faircloth, Landon Pope and Logan Pope; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, George Hogsed.
