Charles Michael Strickland, age 51, of 118 Overlook Rd., died at his residence Monday, November 3, 2014. A native of Americus, he was born March 31, 1963 to Charles W. and Wanda Young Strickland. Mike was an active member of Williams Road Church of Christ. He was also a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, Georgia Association of Enrolled Agents, National Association of Tax Professionals and the NRA and he was an avid hunter. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 7, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the Williams Road Church of Christ with Rev. Keith Wishum and Rev. Curtis Mears officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers include Chuck Smith, Dave Perry, Kevin Robinson, George Centerfitt, Shannon Faircloth,Scott Wall, Lance Stick and Steve McAllister. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice. Survivors include his wife, Amy Clary Strickland of Americus; a daughter, Madalyn Strickland of Americus; his mother and father, Wanda and Charles Strickland of Americus; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Rosie Clary of Cordele; a sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and George Robinson of Locust Grove; several nieces and nephews including Kristin and Kevin Robinson.
