Charles Weyman Parker, age 76, of 182 A Bob Dodson Rd., died at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center Tuesday, May 19, 2015. A native of Webster County, he was born April 4, 1939, the son of the late Max Parker and Louise Holmes Parker. Charles served in the U. S. Navy and was a retired truck driver. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and served as a Bailiff for Sumter County. Charles loved his family. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015, at 1:00 PM at Concord United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Center Point. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel from 5:00 until 7:00 PM and at other times the family residence. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter, 225 Second Street, E., Tifton, GA 31794. Pallbearers include Buddy Austin, Tony Austin, Homer Cain, Bob Reeves, Johnny Villanueva and Herschel Goodin. Honorary pallbearers include Ed Pickle. Survivors include his wife, Louise Parker of Plains; two sons and a daughter-in-law, George Weyman Parker of Plains and Chris and Vicki Parker of Americus; and three grandchildren, Dylan Parker, Erin Parker and Ragan Parker.
