Charles Merritt Harmon, age 63, died Thursday, May 23, 2019. Charles was born September 17, 1955, the son of the late John Merritt and Ruth S. Harmon. Charles had an accident when he was five years old. He attended school in Webster County until about the fifth grade. He had a sleeping sickness that improved and attended special education classes in Richland, and then attended Gracewood State School and hospital starting January 30, 1970. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Weston Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Orr officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Weston Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 156, Weston, GA. 31832. Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan Wiseman (Kenny), Anna Moore (Grady); a brother and sister-in-law, Rooks Harmon (Kaye); two nieces, Amy Jackson (Caleb) and Melissa Cox (James); two nephews, Merritt Moore (Tanya) and Jason Moore; a great niece, Olivia Cox; two great nephews, J.P. Cox and Weston Moore; an aunt, Mattie M. Stapleton and many cousins. in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Tyler Harmon.
