Burr Wise Jennings February 11, 1935 - November 28, 2021 Mr. Burr Wise Jennings, age 86 formerly of Americus, GA, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2021. Graveside Memorial Service will be held Saturday December 11, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Jonathan Beckum. A native of Plains, GA, Mr. Jennings was born February 11, 1935 to the son of the late Phillip and Mamie Jennings. He was retired from the State of Georgia Department of Transportation and the National Guard. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and an active Shriners member for over 50 years. His love for family showed. He looked forward to the Jennings family reunion every year for Thanksgiving. He is preceded in death by his wife Emogene P. Jennings, daughter Tammy M. Jennings, and son William C. Jennings. Survivors include son Floyd L. Jennings (Kristy); Sister Betty Moses; Grandchildren Courtney J. Emerson (Stuart), Zachary C. Jennings (Katie), Trevor W. Jennings (Linsey), Kaylyhn M. Jennings, Burr B. Jennings, Montana Jennings, and Korb Jennings. Great Grandchildren include Jennings G. Emerson, Chapman P. Emerson, Emma R. Jennings, Luke S. Jennings, and Harper L. Jennings. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children.
