Brigham Everett Woodward, age 75, of Americus, died at his residence Wednesday, July 5, 2017. A native of Augusta, he was born June 5, 1942, the son of the late Clarence and Henrietta Woodward. Mr. Woodward played football and graduated from the University of Georgia. He was of the Methodist faith. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 6,2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Ron Evans and Father Jeff Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends at their residence, 190 Dogwood Hills Rd. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Justin Johnson, Allen Johnson, Steve Clark, Jim Beatty, Charlie Dempsey and Henry Johnson. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Georgia Sheriff's Boy's Ranch, 5671 Ga. Hwy 122 E, Hahira, GA. 31632 and Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P. O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga. 31709. Survivors include his wife, Marijane Woodward of Americus; a daughter and son-in-law, Patti and David Seaton of Snellville; a son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Allison of South Carolina; a brother and sisters-in-law, Don and Kitty Woodward of Augusta, Kathy Johnson and Beverley Johnson; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Judy Johnson; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
