Billy Nathaniel Pennington, age 84, of 747 Ga. Highway 49 South, Americus, died Monday, April 25, 2011, at Lillian Carter Health and Rehab. A native of Americus, he was born September 4, 1926 the son of the late William Wicker and Beatrice Patterson Pennington. Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 28, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tommy McConnell officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 27, 2011, from 6:00 until 8:00PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times the family residence. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Myra Pennington of Americus; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Wayne Smith of Opelika, AL. and Debbie and Terry Crave of Morrow; two sons and daughter-in-law, William Billy Glenn Pennington of Americus and Terry Lee and Jennie Pennington of Americus; a brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Betsy Pennington of Waco, TX.; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Wicker Pennington, Jr. and John S. Pennington.
