Beverly Jean Lane Hargrove, age 79, of 124 North Spring Creek Circle, Cobb died at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. A native of Americus, she was born July 17, 1936, the daughter of the late Herman Lane and Belva Conley Lane. She was a member of the Lake Blackshear Baptist Church. She retired from thirty years of service with the United States Postal Service and performed volunteer work with the Pink Ladies of the Crisp Regional Hospital Auxillary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brian Bentley and Rev. Phil Streetman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Survivors include two sons and daughters- in- law; David and Cindy Hargrove and Tut and Lori Hargrove all of Americus; a daughter and son- in- law, Betsy and Matt Mitchell of Cordele; a sister, Betty Sue Baskin of Woodbury; and six grandchildren, Brittany Hargrove, Chance Hargrove, Heidi Hargrove, Tyler Hargrove, Ansley Mitchell and Ashden Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marion Hargrove.
