Betty Ann Teasley, age 74, of 107 Triple Creek Trail, Andersonville, died at Phobe Sumter Medical Center Friday, July 10, 2015. A native of McCormick S.C., she was born August 2, 1940, the daughter of the late Maurice Belton and Olivia Pearl Goff. Mrs. Teasley was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Churc of Americus, the Epworth Sunday School Class and the Dogwood Garden Club. She loved calling and encouraging others on a daily basis and even learned to text in her later years so she could keep up with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 12, 2015, at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church of Americus with Rev. Jerry Roe officiating. Burial will be held Monday, July 13, 2015, in Lincolnton, Ga. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel from 6:30 until 8:30 PM and at other times the residence of Keith and Teresa Teasley, 492 Highway 49 North, Americus. Honorary pallbearers include the Epworth Sunday School Class. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church of Americus, 200 S. Lee St., Americus, Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P. O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga. 31709 or to the charity of one's choice. Survivors include her husband, Jack Teasley of Andersonville; two daughters and son-in-law, Jackie Teasley of Andersonville and Kim and David Thornhill of Grovetown; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Teresa Teasley of Americus; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Hugh and Sara Goff of Parksville, SC, Kelly and Linda Goff of McCormick, SC., Belton Goff of McCormick, SC. And Mickey and Nan Goff of McCormick, SC.; a sister-in-law, Peggy Goff of McCormick, SC.; and four grandchildren, Hope Teasley, Hannah Teasley, Paul Thornhill and Thomas Thornhill. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Goff.
