Betty June Kitchens Betty June Kitchens, age 85, of 2001 S. Lee St., died Thursday, December 18, 2014. A native of Lowndes County, she was born September 10, 1929, the daughter of the late Manning Jackson Ruis and Maude D. Dieas Ruis. Mrs. Kitchens was a homemaker, a member of First United Methodist Church and also attended church at Magnolia Manor. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Crisp Regional Hospital and also at Magnolia Manor. Funeral services will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Georgia Sherriff's Youth Home, 2048 Youngs Mill Road, LaGrange, GA 30241 or to The League of the Good Samaritan, 2001 South Lee St., Americus, GA 31709. Survivors include her son and daughter-in law, Buster and Leila Kitchens of Americus; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee "Bo" Kitchens.
