Betty Louise Hutto Blankenship, age 78, of 1343 West Centerpoint Rd., Preston, died at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus Wednesday, March 9, 2016. A native of Claxton, she was born March 26, 1937, the daughter of the late Clyde and Nellie Hutto. Mrs. Blankenship was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Orr officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Stewart-Webster Cancer Fund, 6381 Hamilton St., Preston, GA 31824-4029 or to Macedonia Baptist Church, 5716 Macedonia Church Rd, Preston, GA 31824. Pallbearers include Shorty Blankenship, Roger Webb, Robert Webb, David Smith, Dixie Warren, Jr and Boria Condrey, Jr. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Linc and Dana Blankenship of Preston; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Callie Bridges of Covington, Carrie Nell and Dixie Warren of Locust Grove, and Linda and Herman Moore of Harris County; six grandchildren, Mandy and Phillip Jackson, Amy Blankenship, Matt and Haley Blankenship, Megan and Mauricio Gabriel, Dillon Blankenship and Austin Blaneknship; and five great grandchildren, Averey Blankenship, Ansley Jackson, Olivia Gabriel, Amelia Gabriel and Hudson Blankenship. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.A. Blankenship, Jr., two sons, Clay Blankenship and Yancy Blankenship; and two sisters, Lois Condrey and Nancy Chandler.
