Gladys Beatrice Pritchard Roach, age 86, of Americus, died at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center Wednesday, December 21, 2016. A native of North Carolina, she was born August 12, 1930 to the late Willie Otis Pritchard and Emma Lee Jump Pritchard. She was a member of Cheek Memorial Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2016 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus. Rev. Steven Hill will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel in Americus. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Victor and Charlotte Roach of Americus; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Nancy Pritchard of Woodstock, CT; and a sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Douglas Usry of Ellaville. Also surviving are two grandchildren: Vicki and Chris Parker, and Heather Roach; and three great-grandchildren: Erin Parker, Jacob Jordan, and Madison Jordan. Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel is in charge of these arrangements.
