Beatrice Harper Countryman Beatrice Harper Countryman, age 78, of 726 US Highway 19 South, Americus, died at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center Friday, March 2, 2012. A native of Hartwell, Mrs. Countryman was born August 28, 1933 the daughter of the late Lee and Dolly Harper. She was a homemaker and loved her pets. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 5, 2012, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryan Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Benevolence Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel from 2:00 until 4:00 PM. Pall bearers include Will Bishop, Travis Bishop, Charlie Bishop and James Presley. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P. O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga. 31709. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Ina Countryman of Americus and Mary and Mark Robinson of Americus; three grandchildren, Will and Jennifer Bishop, Travis and Shelley Bishop, Charlie and Clarissa Bishop and Jessie Robinson; nine great-grandchildren, Channon Biddle, Courtney Wilson, Cierra Wilson, Asher Bishop, Trent Davis, Harper Bishop, Kache' Tullis, T.J. Jones and Kalli Bishop; two loving nieces that she loved like daughters, Annie Ruth Presley and Betty Demott; a special caregiver, Dr. Malcolm Floyd of Americus; several other nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Baby Girl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Countryman. Cemetery: Benevolence Church Cemetery
