Barbara J. Brown, 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2024 at her home in Americus, Georgia. She was born on May 20, 1944 in Bardstown, Kentucky to the late Joseph F. & Mary Catherine Hardin.

Barb enjoyed watching NASCAR and football. She was also an avid Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan.

She leaves behind her sons George (Tammy) Brown of Americus, GA and Carl Brown of Brandon, FL. Survivors also include: brother Jerry (Susan) Hardin, sister Genie Dennis, grandchildren Zacharie (Laine) Brown, Joshua Brown, Chelsie Brown, Kasie (Jeremy) Keraghan and Taylor (Alex) Pence. Six great-grandchildren: Georgia, Colton, MaKenzie, Carson, Sheppard and Josiah.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, CMSgt (Ret) Jack H. Brown, parents Joseph & Mary Catherine Hardin, brother Donald Hardin and sister Denise Kerr.

Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel is assisting the family during this time. No services have been elected at present.
