Anthony Lucious "Tony" Black, age 76, of Preston, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Tony was born November 11, 1945 to the late James and Nell Black. After graduating college; he worked for Sumter EMC for a few years. His love was always farming and he farmed for over thirty years. Tony was a family man and did everything to put a smile on their faces. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Claudia Black of Preston; son and daughter-in-law, Alec and Kay Black of Bainbridge; two daughters and son-in-law, Amie and Shaun Harris of Lumpkin and Allison Black (Danny) of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Logan Hobron-Hyland and her husband Bob, Caden Black, Macy Black, Heather & Chase Gibson, Leslie Harris, and Sophie Black-Dalton; great-grandchildren, Kyran Black, Dawsyn Black, and Maggie Hobran-Hyland; sister and brother-in-law, Linda Black Blankenship and Buddy. Also surviving is soon to be Miss. Saylor Gibson; she is expected to make her arrival in June. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
