Annie Beatrice Garrett Lloyd, age 83, of 2001 S. Lee St., died at Magnolia Manor Saturday, November 26, 2011. A native of Newell, AL., she was born November 10, 1928, the daughter of the late D.R. and Lillie May Conkle Garrett. Mrs. Lloyd was retired from Manhatten Shirt Co. where she was employed as a seamstress. She was also a homemaker, loved gardening, her children and grandchildren. She was of the Methodist faith. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. Earl Dunmon officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, November 28, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P. O. Box 1434,Americus, Ga. 31709 or to League of the Good Samaritan, Magnolia Manor, 2001 S. Lee St., Americus, Ga. 31709. Pall bearers include Doug Lloyd, Scott Lloyd, Greg Lloyd, Jason Love, Derek Dickerson and Brad Lloyd. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Dickerson of Ellaville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Carol Lloyd of Americus and Charlie and Effie Lloyd of Americus; a sister, Betty Miller of Rochester, NY; seven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
