Mrs. Annie Mae Cook, age 92, died Monday morning, February 2, 2009 at Sumter Regional Hospital. A native of Marion County, Alabama, Mrs. Cook was born January 14, 1917, a daughter of the late Sam Lacey and Jennie Bell Mitchell Lacey. She was a homemaker and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. Lawton Sammons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Tony Wooten, Forrest Cook, Brent Cook, Shannon Cook, Adam Cook and Rodney Smith. A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 3rd, from 6 to 8 pm at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, 472 Flintside Drive, Cobb, Ga. 31735. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law; Lora Faye Townsend and Vard of Detroit, Michigan, Glenda C. Floyd and Eddie of Dublin, Martha E. Harrison and Jimmy of Ellaville; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Franklin Cook and Grace of Omega, George Vernon Cook and Ann of Americus; two sisters, Dell Holcomb of Hackleburg, Alabama, Mavis Mitchell of Mobile, Alabama; one brother, Clyde Lacey of Hamilton, Alabama; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and ten step-great-grandchildren. Memorials: Lakeview Baptist Church, 472 Flintside Drive, Cobb, Ga. 31735.
