Annie Mae Bearden Weil of Cuthbert, GA passed away at the Joe-Anne Bergin nursing home in Cuthbert on November 20, 2011. Annie Mae was born in Webster County GA in 1926 and lived most of her life in Preston, GA. Annie Mae was a wonderful sister, wife, mother and grand mother. She was married to the late Grover C. Bearden of Preston and was active in community life and was a member of Preston Baptist Church until her death. Annie Mae was known by all to be a person full of life and a person that loved her family and community. Children and grandchildren especially loved her cooking and her making the house feel like a home. In later years she was married to the late Sam D. Weil and resided in Cuthbert GA. Annie Mae is survived by a daughter, Barbara S. Thigpen; a son, Scott Bearden; two sisters, Betty Sue Dominick and Melrose Grindle; and a brother, Aaron Blankenship. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna C. Bearden. Annie Mae has three loving grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, all who lovingly referred to her as "Big Mamma". A memorial service will be held at The First Baptist Church of Preston on December 3, 2011 at 1:00 PM. A private Burial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the First Baptist Church of Preston.
