Mrs. Anne Elizabeth Miller Colston, age 92, of Americus passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Phoebe Sumter Hospital. A native of Toomsboro, GA., she was born on August 17, 1929, to the late John and Ivalene Miller. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Americus and the Dorcus Sunday School class. She served as financial secretary for First Baptist for over 40 years. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Keith Parks officiating. Survivors include two sons, Layton Keith Colston (Connie) of Blounts Creek, NC. and Alvin Gregory Colston (Sheila) of Brooks, GA.; daughter, Su Ann Colston Bird (Mike) of Americus; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack Miller of Americus and Charles Miller (Joyce) of Cordele; and a sister Sue Miller Dettmer (Ron) of Orange Park, FL. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 50-years, Alvin Layton Colston, Jr and a son John Bruce Colston.
